Making a seating plan?
First, have a conversation with your decorator and dj on the most suitable placement for your dj. Don't forget, the dj will need a power supply and may need a table and chairs for setup. These things should be communicated to your decorator/decorating team for planning purposes.
You may want to consider seating guests with sensitive or impaired hearing away from the speakers. This will ensure that all your guests can enjoy the music throughout the night.
Utilize the opinions of your professionals!
Your hired professionals (venue, caterer, dj and photographer) have done hundreds of events and can probably tell you what works and what doesn't.
You want to ask questions like:
-
What type of meal is best for our budget (plated or buffet style)?
-
What does the dj require for setup? What do they need from us?
-
How much time should we put aside for photos after the wedding ceremony?
-
Can the venue accommodate guests with physical disabilities (ex: ramp for a wheelchair)?
-
When will the decorator and dj be able to setup?
Sit back and relax!
Your wedding day or special event has arrived! Since you have opted to hire a professional, you can sit back and relax! Your caterer will ensure your meal is served to all your guests. The staff at the venue will ensure that everything is going smoothly. Your dj will take control of the dance floor and play songs that YOUR guests will love! Your photographer will capture the perfect shot for you to share on social media, email to your family or frame for your home!
